Artful Gardens

Artful Gardens Autistic and Special Needs Learning Farm is being revived to enhance the process, procedure and approach by which children, youth, and adults are educated in health and wellness. Located in Fort Myers, Florida off Buckingham Road, the 31 acre farm seeks to be a hub of innovation and learning while serving the broader needs of the community. Educational platforms and income generating projects are underway to develop sustainable agricultural practices and healthy lifestyle activities.

NEEDS STATEMENT

The M&M and Artful Gardens Project, hereinafter referred to as the The Project, will identify and address challenges and issues within the Southwest Florida community. 

The Project will address the problems surrounding the education of children who have autism and special needs. 

The Project will address the need for schools to teach practical life skills, social skills, character quality, art and craft, and agricultural methods. 

The Project will address the needs of people to find means by which the quality of food and the cost of food can be improved. 

The Project will address the viability of farmers and food growers to improve the quality of soil through regenerative agricultural techniques.

The Project will identify the need to develop alternative energy sources to accommodate the growing general population in today’s world.
